Listen to your body and take care of yourself; that’s from North Bay resident Mary Beaucage.

She had been diagnosed with stage 5 chronic kidney disease two years ago, but on March 24th will receive a kidney transplant from a relative.

Beaucage says she didn’t realize what was happening with her body, before it was too late.

She says diabetes or high blood pressure could be something that leads to kidney failure and you may not be aware until it’s too late.

Beaucage feels it’s important to share what’s she’s learned so people can know there is help out there. She adds March is National Kidney Health Month and becoming an organ donor could help save a life.
