Spring runoff is coming

It’s that time of year when we go from winter to spring and the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority reminds people to stay off Parks Creek with the ice removal set to start soon.  They say that applies to the public and those riding snowmachines too.  Field Operations Supervisor Troy Storms says they need to create some storage space for runoff at the mouth of the creek on Lake Nipissing when the runoff occurs. The authority will be monitoring the Eva Wardlaw Conservation Area to ensure that people and property are safe.
