The Canada Wide Science Fair begins today in Montreal and there will be a local flavor.

Five students and three projects will be highlighted in Montreal.

They include one by Gabrielle Russo of St Luke’s Catholic School for her project “Stripping Down the Sugars” which has already won an award and a gold medal in the North Bay Regional Science Fair.

Ashleigh Brady and Reagan Lawton of Widdifield are going for their project “Company In The Shower” which has won a Rotary Club Award, a scholarship award from the University of Ottawa and a gold medal at the North Bay fair.

The other students going to the national fair are two students from West Ferris Secondary School Riley Giesler and Caleb Charette.
