Natural gas prices have gone up a bit for residents in Northern Ontario.
Union Gas says the new rates approved by the Ontario Energy Board result in an annual increase of 15-dollars.

The change started July 1st.

Officials say it’s mainly due to an increase in the market price Union Gas expects to pay for natural gas for the next year combined with the difference between previous forecasted and actual costs.

Officials say tips like reducing hot water use, maintaining the furnace and installing a programmable thermostat can help save money and energy.
