The North Bay Battalion were edged 4-3 in overtime yesterday by Mississauga.

The Troops fell behind 2-0 after one but rebounded in the 2nd on the first of two goals by Steve Harland.

The deficit was two again in the third at 3-1 before they rallied to force overtime on Harland’s 2nd of the game and Zach Poirier’s in the last minute of the third.

But just 14 seconds into overtime the Steelheads got the winner and the extra point.

Next up for North Bay is a road game in Barrie on Saturday.

Battalion forward Adam McMaster earned a silver medal on the weekend at the World Under 17 Challenge. Team Canada Black fell 2-1 to Sweden in the gold medal game.
The Powassan Voodoos go for their 9th straight win tonight at 730 at home against Elliot Lake

They haven’t lost since October 11th.

They won their 8th straight game Saturday night, 4-1 over the visiting Soo Eagles.

 

The North Bay Major Atom AA Trappers defeated an Ottawa team 2-1 in the gold medal game at a tourney in Ottawa.

Masen Wray and Nate Gravelle scored for the winners.

The team the Trappers beat in the final defeated them in the round robin.

The Trappers mvp yesterday was goalie Justin Robinson.

 

The Nipissing Lakers women’s hockey team scored twice in the third period to defeat Laurier 3-2 on Saturday and Waterloo 3-1 yesterday.

Nipissing has won three straight.

 

Canadore’s men’s basketball team defeated Fleming on Sunday 94-90.

In volleyball, both Panthers teams lost to Algonquin on Saturday.

The men fell 3-1 while the women lost 3-0.
On Sunday , both teams defeted La Cité 3-1 yesterday
