North Bay City Council passed a couple of budgets this week.

Both the General Capital Budget and the Water and Waste Water Capital Budgets were passed.

The General Capital Budget adds up to over $32 Million and the Water and Waste Water Capital Budget is another 10.

In the Capital Budget is a decision to spend $1.5 Million from reserves for the city’s share of the $4.6 Million Cedar Heights infrastructure project.

One city resident Gary Gardiner says the city should have other priorities.

He says there are 10 items listed in the water department that need work before growth projects like the Cedar Heights job should be considered.

Council does have a recommendation to increase the Water and Waste Water operating budget by 3.7 per cent but no decision on that has been made yet.
