There will be plenty to do in North Bay tomorrow (Saturday) for Canada Day, as we celebrates the country’s 150th birthday.

The day begins with the singing of O’Canada and the cake cutting at the Waterfront A.C.T. shelter at noon.

That’s also when there’s a cricket game at Amelia Field.

Events include the Canada Day Kids Zone, plus there’s the Heritage Railway Train and Carousel, face painting, a busker stage and a busy afternoon and evening at the Kiwanis Bandshell.

There’s local entertainment in the afternoon, then evening performances by High Holy Days and Cory Marquart.

Fireworks will follow the concerts at 10 pm.

Callander is celebrating Canada’s 150th with their annual Fun Fest event tomorrow (Saturday).

There’s the time capsule opening from 2:30 pm to 4 pm at the Callander Bay Heritage Museum.

It was sealed July 1st, 1992.

There’s also plenty of activities, entertainment, inflatables, a scavenger hunt and more.

The Fun Fest Parade goes from 11am to noon.

Fireworks close out the events at 9:45 pm.
