If you have an interest in mining and are looking for work you may want top contact Redpath Mining.

Laura Piche is the Manager of Global Marketing for the Redpath Group.

She says they have an urgent need to fill 20 skilled miners jobs in the north.

She says the skilled mining positions are in Northern Manitoba and in Northern Ontario in communities like Red Lake, Kirkland Lake and Sudbury but most of the work is in Red Lake and Kirkland Lake.

She says they also have 40-50 global jobs.

For complete information on the positions go to redpathmining.com and check out the careers tab.

For the 20 jobs in the north she says applicants should have two years experience working underground, have their common core training and qualifications and a high school education.

Piche says applicants will only be accepted through the web site.

She says there are some positive signs for good things in the industry.

Piche says they’re hoping that these little spikes in employment recruiting are a reflection of good prospects.

She says there is momentum globally and it’s nice to see interest in Ontario and elsewhere in Canada.
