A number of northern priorities are included in the nearly 140 Ontario PC policy proposals that will be voted on in November.
That’s the word from Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli.
He says one proposal would allow northern rail experts to develop a plan to return viable passenger train service to the north.
“This needs to happen,” says Fedeli.
Other key priorities are the Ring of Fire and the involvement of Indigenous peoples in resource development.
“We’ve had enough Ring of Fire re-announcements by the Liberals. It’s time to move forward in partnership,” said Fedeli. “The North matters.”
There’s also a comprehensive plan to make energy affordable again, provide pocketbook relief to Northern Ontario families, and increase broadband access across the North.
Online voting on the policy proposals will take place early next month.
Results will announced at the Ontario PC Policy Convention November 25th in Toronto.
