North Bay is eligible to receive up to 72-thousand dollars for downtown improvements.

The funding comes from the province’s “Main Street Revitalizaton Initiative”. Amounts are determined by population in the 2016 census.

The money will support capital improvements in small businesses, and generate strategic public investments in municipal and other public infrastructure that will benefit small businesses within Ontario’s main street areas.

Amounts vary in outlying communities, from 39-thousand in Callander to 37-thousand in Mattawa.
