HandsTheFamilyHelp Network.ca has officially opened at its new location on Oak Street.

It is an 18,000 square foot facility and the project cost $8.5 million to build.

The province chipped in with $3.4 million and the rest has come from donations and fundraising.

There’s still $200,000 left to raise.

The new building which has 55 employees working inside includes walk in, short and long term counselling for children, youth and families as well as developmental services for adults.

There’s also increased treatment and therapy spaces and enhanced use of technology.
