Golf season is underway.

Osprey Links will be open on Wednesday.
That’s the word from Jeff Rogerson who tells BayToday everything is about a month behind, pointing out they had frost still in the ground earlier in the week.
“Our normal opening would be the third week of April, if you went back through our history. Probably all the golf courses in the area, if you went back in their histories, would be pretty similar,” he says.
Rogerson says conditions are getting better too.
“It’s improving everyday, we’re opening all 18. We’re on all the greens, we’re on the tees, just no carts yet,” he says.

Pinewood opened Tuesday and Eagle Lake in South River will be open Wednesday as well.

Highview plans to open on Friday as does the Mattawa golf course.

Clear Springs and Laurentide hope to open on the weekend but with rain on the way on Thursday that may be delayed.
The North Bay Golf and Country Club says they are opening for the season next weekend. There will be a demo day next Wednesday and everyone is welcome.
