The Capitol Centre has released its lineup for the 2018-19 season.

The list of performers includes Gino Vanelli on opening night, Jim Cuddy, Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida performing together and Hops and Vines returns for another year.

Katelyn Ricci is marketing manager.

She says their approach is for the Capitol Centre to be a destination location.

“It’s hard in the north to travel. You can come here and see some top notch performers. We are the destination point,” she says.

There’s also Finger 11 and I Mother Earth combining forces and Roch Voisine putting on a show.

Ricci says they’ve worked pretty hard to get several performers including comedian Jeremy Hotz.

“I love seeing the comedy that comes. I think North Bay has a thing for comedy. I like the Upright Citizens Brigade. The calibre of that type of performance is pretty good,” she says.

She says there’s even a Golden Girls puppet show.

As well, there are concerts by the 22 Wing Band, Jesse Cook and North Bay’s Hidden Roots Collective.

Returning events include The Children’s Festival in June, The Blues Festival in September and The On The Edge Fringe Festival in August.

Tickets for the individual shows go on sale on June 11th.
