Two craft brewers are combining forces on a new beer.

New Ontario Brewing based in North Bay and Sleeping Giant based in Thunder Bay are making Bay to Bay.

Kyle Mulligan is head brewer at Sleeping Giant. He says the two brewery makers got together last week in Thunder Bay.

“We’ll have it on tap at our brewery and we’ll send some down to North Bay. We’ll then head to North Bay in a few weeks and brew another batch there,” he says.
He says the first batch should be ready in Thunder Bay in a couple of weeks.

The 2nd batch to be brewed here in 2 weeks would be ready for public consumption in 4 weeks or so.

Mike Harrison is the brewer at New Ontario Brewing.

He describes Bay To Bay as an IPA style beer.

“It’s juicy, hoppy, tasty and hazy. It’s a great project. We worked with Sleeping Giant on the recipe. We collaborated to bring a bit of North Bay and Thunder Bay and it’s a great beer,” he says.

He says they brought some hops with them from North Bay to Thunder Bay to make the first batch.
