Remembrance Week begins tomorrow (Monday) with several area communities holding ceremonies later this week.

There are ceremonies in East Ferris on Thursday, Bonfield on Friday and Powassan on Saturday.

Several communities have events to mark Remembrance Day on the 11th.

They include Callander, Mattawa, Nipissing First Nation, North Bay and Trout Creek.

“This Remembrance Day we reflect on the heroism of the Canadian Armed Forces. Whether they served in the First World War, Second World War, Korean War, the War in Afghanistan or any other conflict, the men and women of the Canadian Forces represent the very best of our country, our people and our values. They deserve our gratitude and our respect,” said Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli. “I encourage you to join your local community at a Remembrance ceremony to show your respect and gratitude. Lest we forget.”
