They are riding a wave of positive momentum, that is how Adam Dennis describes the current run the North Bay Battalion have been on.

The Troops Assistant Coach says while the team has put together six straight wins, there is always room for improvement.

He says “we’re happy to be in the wave and you want to keep riding it as long as you can, but there’s definitely some things we need to work on as well, because I don’t think we’ve been perfect over the last three games as well.”

The Battalion will be looking to extend the winning streak to seven games as they host the Oshawa Generals on Thursday night.

Dennis says lately the team has played every game in desperation mode and that must continue.

“There’s 31 games left so every game is playoff hockey. We’re in another race to not only get in to playoffs but to jockey for position, so there’s room to go either way. For us every game is meaningful and every game is important,” he says.

The Troops enter the game with 36 points, 10 back of the third place Generals.

Catch the game on Country 600 CKAT at 6:55 pm.
