Work is underway for the Rotary4Kids longest morning radio broadcast which will benefit the Nipissing Association for Disabled Youth.

The event will be held on KiSS 100.5 from the Canadian Tire store in North Bay on March 28th and 29th.

Rotary4Kids chair Jeff Rogerson had another important announcement.

“Gage Colnar is our 2019 Rotary4Kids ambassador. Gage is in grade two and he’s a wonderful young man. He’s going to be a wonderful spokesman for our cause,” he says.

Gage’s mom Shayna is looking forward to the event.

“We’re super thankful for NADY and Rotary and all the generosity in the community and the kindness and the time that goes in to the radio broadcast,” she says.

A $14,000 cheque was also presented to Rotary4Kids from last years Smiles for Life at Callander Bay Dental.

100 percent of proceeds from teeth whitening from March to June last year went directly to Rotary4Kids North Bay.

Nipissing Association for Disabled Youth spokesperson Lucie Ricci couldn’t be happier about the difference Rotary4Kids makes.

“From the beginning we needed the funding. We’re not an agency. We’re parents and a lot of the parents don’t have money. We can’t go to our organization and ask for money. We need support from the community and we’ve had that support from rotary,” she says.
