The North Bay Battalion are hoping to have a better start tonight against Sudbury than they did just over a week ago.

Last Wednesday in Sudbury, the Wolves scored two goals in the first three minutes and led 4-0 after one period of play.

They won the game 5-0.

Troops Assistant coach Adam Dennis says games against Sudbury are typically playoff-type affairs.

“It doesn’t matter where either team is in the standings. You know you’re going to get a spirited game. We would like to put a spirited effort forward because this could be a playoff match-up,” he says.

The teams are separated by six points in the Eastern Conference standings with the Wolves in fourth and the Battalion tied for sixth.

Dennis was also asked for an injury update involving Simon Rose.

“He’s progressing nicely. There’s a chance we could see him this weekend. It’s not uncommon this time of year. He took a hit in the last Sudbury game and it’s taken a bit for him to back on the horse,” Dennis says.

Catch tonight’s game on Country 600 CKAT, starting at 6:55 pm.
