North Bay Mayor Al McDonald has released a report on the first six months of this new city council.

He says from the outset the theme has been to grow the city and everyone’s got on board.

“The sheer amount of projects that we got going, the community partnerships, the mandate of growth and the fact that city staff, community partners and the new council are all aligned with growing the city,” McDonald says.

There have several developments including the awarding of a contract to rebuild Cassells Street, the casino groundbreaking, Seymour Street construction. improvements to the runway at the Jack Garland Airport and construction for the splash pad project about to start.

“I’m looking forward to writing the next report in six months. But there’s no question if we can accomplish what we did in the first 180 days I would say this is one of the best years we’ve had as a city,” he says.

You can check out the report “180 Days” on the city’s web site.
