Major volleyball event starts Friday in North Bay

We told you earlier about the Sunshine Games taking place in North Bay this weekend.

It was to include volleyball and basketball but Amadeo Bernardi of Vision Volleyball says Basketball Canada was unable to get enough registration to put on the hoops event but the volleyball elite national event is ready to go.

He says the volleyball action starts Friday and there will be 22 teams coming here from across the country and the action will be at the CANOR Molson Sand Centre.

He says the medal round will be on Sunday and there will be over 10 Thousand Dollars in cash prizes.
