Two separate events, benefiting a couple local groups, are taking place Saturday.

A unique fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters ‘housing support’ program for low income youth is taking place this weekend.

The Northern Craft Beer and Tap House Burger Fest goes from 11 am to 9 pm tomorrow (Saturday) in the Station Tap House and Steak Company and Hock Shop parking lot.

Tickets are available at the gate.

The event features three Northern Craft beer tents, the Tap House burger, a bbq raffle and live entertainment.

Meantime, Habitat for Humanity is hosting an open house, garage sale and bbq at their newest home tomorrow (Saturday).

They’re raising awareness about the fourth renovation project in North Bay.

The latest project, and tomorrow’s event, is at 481 Algonquin Avenue.

Habitat partners with families to create a safe, decent and affordable home.

The event goes from 9 am to 2 pm tomorrow.
