Two goals in each period were enough for the Guelph Storm to pick up a 6-2 win over North Bay on Sunday afternoon at Memorial Gardens.

Acting Head Coach for the North Bay Battalion Adam Dennis says he felt the team played well, they just didn’t capitalize on all their opportunities.

He says “we’ll agree to disagree on some of the decisions that were made tonight by the officiating, but that’s hockey. We can’t control that, all we can control is what we can, that’s killing penalties and if we get a power play, we didn’t convert. I thought we had some chances that we couldn’t put away and their goalie made more saves than ours.”

Brad Chenier and Justin Brazeau (pictured) were the goal scorers for North Bay.

That top line with Adam McMaster combined for seven of the team’s ten goals over the weekend, in which North Bay went 1-1-1.

Dennis they are getting used to seeing that kind of production from the top line, but they also want to see it from the rest of the lineup.

He says “they’ve done it every game. They have built it up to where it’s almost expected of them. And that’s a credit to them, and we need them to continue to do that, it would be nice if we had some other guys stepping up as well.”

Guelph scored six times on 28 shots against Battalion Goaltender Christian Propp, who was making his second straight start.
