Major fundraiser for the Santa Fund goes tomorrow at Twiggs

A major fundraiser for the North Bay Santa Fund is on the air Friday on KiSS 100.5.

The Carmine Ricciuti Christmas Special goes from 6 am to 9 am at Twiggs Coffee Roasters on Fraser Street.

While spreading holiday cheer, they’re looking to surpass the $32,640 raised last year.

The event also includes a live auction.

Santa Fund co-chair Lachlan McLachlan says they need the financial boost.

“We are only at $68,500 to the $145,000 goal so the Carmine Ricciuti Christmas Special couldn’t come at a better time,” he says.

Donations are also being accepted online at santafund.ca and at the North Bay Nugget on Worthington Street.

McLachlan also says volunteers are needed for Saturday.

“We are packing the 675 baskets on Saturday at the Troy Armoury (Fort Chippewa Barracks) across from Chippewa High School, starting at 5:30 pm,” he says.

They’re also looking for volunteer drivers on Sunday to help deliver the baskets, starting at 10 am at Fort Chippewa Barracks.
