It was a big day on Friday at the North Bay Museum as a new exhibit had its official opening.

It’s called Beyond Human Limits and its focus is extreme sports.

There are several interactive displays to check out.

The exhibit is a smaller mobile version of the Science North exhibit and will be at the museum until May 25th.

Science North CEO Guy Labine says this is their 13th different travelling exhibit.

“Not everyone can come to Science North in Sudbury. Having a strong vibrant network of museums and attractions in Northern Ontario is vitally important. If we can play a role in making museums and attractions more sustainable I think it’s an important thing for us to do,” he says.

This particular exhibit will travel throughout the north over the next several months.

It was also announced that the North Bay Museum will host a permanent THINK Hub in the fall.

It will be a chance for people gauge their learning skills in a variety of concepts.

Museum Director Naomi Hehn says it will be interactive.

“We will have different challenges. People will be using their thinking skills whether it be in math or engineering. We will be looking at offering these challenges on a regular basis,” Hehn says.
