North Bay Police say they are investigating several break-ins, attempted break-ins and damage to businesses.

Police say over the last couple of weeks, the businesses that have been damaged are located on Main Street West, Cassells Street, Algonquin Avenue, Worthington Street East and Main Street East.

Police say the damage varies from no thefts in some cases, cash registers and in store items being displaced in others and goods stolen also.

Meantime, results are in from yesterday’s Back To School Traffic Enforcement Campaign.

Police say one driver received a 490 Dollar fine for failing to stop for a school bus at Fisher and Haig Streets and two drivers received tickets for speeding on Ski Club Road where the speed limit is 40 Kilometres an hour.

Police say one of the vehicles was doing 65 km/h.

Police say there are 3 locations where amber lights are flashing in school zones. That means the speed limit is reduced to 40.

The lights flash from 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday during the school year.

The locations are Algonquin Avenue from High to Jane/Front, O’Brien Street from Devonshire Avenue to High Street and Marshall Avenue from Prince Edward Drive to Lakeshore Drive .

The speed limit is 50 when the lights are not flashing.
