Officers with the Almaguin Highlands Detachment of the OPP were busy doing R.I.D.E. checks this weekend.

In one incident, police located a number of controlled substances including cocaine, methamphetamine, and GHB which is sometimes referred to as a “date rape” drug.

Two people, both from Southern Ontario, were charged with several several possession and possession for the purpose of trafficking offenses and possession of property obtained by crime.

As well, police charged another driver with impaired driving, issued license suspensions to two motorists and seized another driver’s licence plates because they weren’t authorized.
