The North Bay Battalion have a busy stretch of road games.

They play three games in a row away from Memorial Gardens.

The Troops are in Peterborough tonight, Kingston tomorrow and Ottawa on Sunday.

Coach Stan Butler says it’s a challenging swing starting tonight against the Petes.

“Obviously they’re a good team and Ottawa’s right there with them. Kingston has been hot winning four in a row and since former Battalion netminder Christian Propp has gone there they’re getting great goaltending,” he says.

The Troops only have one road win this season.

Butler also says he’s noticed the improvement in goalie Joe Vrbetic in recent games.

“He’s controlling his rebounds better now. Assistant coach Adam Dennis says big goalies have to play big and I think he’s doing that more. Like anything he’s getting experience and that’s helping,” he says.

Broadcast time tonight is 6:55 pm on Country 600 CKAT.
