Despite getting held to a season low 17 shots, North Bay still had a chance to win the game against the Windsor Spitfires Sunday afternoon at Memorial Gardens.

They lost 3-2 in overtime, but goaltender Cameron Lamour made 43 saves to keep the Troops in the game.

Head Coach Ryan Oulahen had high praise for his netminder.

“We were slow pretty much from start to finish, and at the end of the day, Cameron Lamour played really, really well and found a way to get a big point for us,” he says.

Overall Oulahen was happy with the point.

“It could’ve been a lot worse, I thought we stole a big point today (Sunday),” he says.

Luke Moncada and Mitchell Russell scored for North Bay in the loss.

The Troops are back in action Thursday at home to Mississauga.

Meantime, the Nipissing women were on the road and shutout Ontario Tech 2-0 on Friday night.

The Lakers then lost 2-1 to Queens on Saturday.
