Training exercise lined up for 22 Wing CFB North Bay this week

Expect to see an increase in military activity at 22 Wing CFB North Bay this week for Exercise Wing Dragon.

The training exercise is taking place tomorrow through Thursday with officials training and validating 22 Wing’s readiness for potential domestic threats within the base and surrounding area.

They say residents could encounter military members wearing protective gear and carrying weapons.

There may also be simulated explosions and gunfire.

Vehicle and passenger check points can be expected, with all visitors to the base advised to carry valid photo ID.

Normal NORAD operations will not be impacted.
