The North Bay Museum says it will re-open next Thursday.

Officials say they will be putting in safeguards to keep everyone safe including a limited capacity of 30 people and timed entry to allow for physical distancing.

There will also be hand-sanitizing stations, one-way traffic throughout and interactive exhibits and benches will be removed, blocked or covered.

There will be reduced hours.

The new hours will be noon-5 Monday-Friday and 10-3 on Saturday and washrooms on the first floor will be open to one family at a time.

As well, plexiglass shields will be set up in the gift shop surrounding the till area, and museum staff and volunteers will wear face coverings.
