North Bay OPP have now charged 40 drivers with impaired this year.

The latest involved a single vehicle crash on Main Street in Powassan around 1 am on Friday.

Police say officers arrived at the scene to find the vehicle totalled but did not locate the driver.

They say the investigation led to the arrest of the driver who suffered minor injuries in the crash.

A 26 year old Powassan resident is facing charges.

Nipissing West OPP are looking into a fail to remain collision, involving a pick-up truck and a bicycle.

It took place at the intersection of Front and Nipissing Streets in Sturgeon Falls last Friday morning.

Police say the cyclist was attempting to cross Nipissing Street when a pick-up truck pulled up beside made a right turn and struck the cyclist.

The driver of the pick-up truck did not stop and left the scene via Nipissing Street.

The cyclist was not injured.

The vehicle is described as a dark coloured 4-door Chevrolet pick-up truck with a saddle storage box in the back and stickers in the rear window, possibly the name of a business.

The truck also appears to have an after-market front bumper.

Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP.
