There was an increase in building permit values in North Bay last year.

The city says the values almost got to 78 Million Dollars which represents a 13 per cent increase over last year when it was at $68.9 Million.

One of the big reasons was the announcement in December of the Hands The Family Help Network‘s project on Oak Street estimated at $8.5 Million.

Non residential construction reached $62 Million which the city says is a 32 per cent increase from a year ago.

Also showing a gain of $6 Million in the 2nd half of the year was residential housing permits when compared to the first half.
