There’s a buzz at Laurentian Ski Hill and they’re off to a good start this year.
That’s the word from General Manager Cam Graham.
He says they’re happy to have snow, “both from the sky and our man-made snow because we couldn’t even make snow last year until Boxing Week.”
Graham added, “it’s been busy and we’re still continuing with our snowmaking and hoping to get even more runs open in the next couple of days.”
Graham says this cold stretch really helps them with those efforts.
“Always looking for that minus 10 and better to make our snow. Although we can make snow at warmer temperatures, we’re much more productive at the colder temperatures.”
Slingshot, the Beginner Hill and the Terrain Park are open.
Maples is the next run they’re working on opening.
