A 22 year old North Bay man has been charged with possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats to cause death.

Police say yesterday afternoon a male tenant was returning to a Main Street East apartment when another tenant approached him and yelled threats while carrying a knife in each hand.

The victim did not have a phone so police say he opened a window and yelled for someone to call 9-1-1.

In the meantime, police say the threats continued through the apartment door.

Police say once they were contacted, they arrived immediately and then cleared the building.

Police say 2 knives were seized.

Meantime, police say someone on a bicycle used a rock to cause damage to a building on the 1300 block of Fisher St. at 11 pm on Tuesday evening.

No entry was gained to the building.
