In the NOJHL, Powassan entertains French River again Friday.

The Voodoos beat the Rapids 6-2 on Monday.

Powassan also plays on Monday, at home to Cochrane.

Also, a couple of Powassan Voodoos took part in the CJHL Prospects game last night in Cornwall. Forward Andy Baker and goalie Nate MacDonald played for Team East, which lost 4-3 to Team West.

MacDonald played half the game and made 25 saves in the loss.

A couple of games for the North Bay Midget AAA Trappers this weekend. They’re in New Liskeard Friday  then Timmins on Saturday.

The Trappers are first overall in the Great North Midget League, two points up on the Soo.

A couple games for the Nipissing basketball teams this weekend.

They are on the road playing Queens Friday  then York on Saturday.

The men’s hockey team entertains Trois Rivieres Saturday night at Memorial Gardens while the Lakers volleyball teams visit Waterloo on Saturday and Guelph on Sunday.

In OCAA men’s basketball, Canadore has two games at the Education Centre gym this weekend.

They’re home to Durham on Saturday and Fleming on Sunday.

Both Canadore volleyball teams have one game each this weekend.

They entertain Algonquin on Saturday.

Team East won the West Ferris Ringette Assocation‘s East-West Cup last night — claiming the trophy from defending champion Team West.

The two sides were tied at two victories each after the U10, U12, U15 and U19 games.
