Tragic news involving Sunday’s snow machine collision on Highway 630 at Pedders Drive in Calvin Township.

OPP report a 12 year old boy died after the snowmachine he was driving came from a field beside the highway and drove in front of a vehicle.

Police say the boy was airlifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

OPP have identified the victim as Bailey Matte-Edmonds.

The crash happened just after 4pm.

The roadway was closed for about four hours.
