Environment Canada’s freezing rain warning continues for the North Bay area this morning (Tuesday).

Freezing rain and ice pellets are expected to persist this morning before the temperature rises.

Meantime, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and the Conservation Authority have issued a flood outlook statement.

It covers the entire North Bay District and stretches from Marten River to West Nipissing, south to Powassan and east to Mattawan Township.

Officials say the precipitation that was forecast creates the likelihood of hazardous conditions around waterways, with water levels expected to increase.

They point out the ground remains saturated even though the snowpack and water content are diminishing.
