North Bay Police say they’ve received several complaints of vehicles going very fast in several parts of the city.

The areas include Birchs Road, Lakeshore Drive, Jane Street, Front Street and Norman Avenue.

Police say some of the incidents involve street racing and both cars and motorbikes are involved.

Police say if they apprehend someone who is street racing there is an automatic 7 day license suspension and you can have your vehicle impounded right away.

Upon conviction, the fine can range from $2,000 to $10,000 plus six demerit points, a maximum license suspension of two years and a maximum of 6 months in jail.
