The 2017 NHL draft saw 217 prospects selected through seven rounds, unfortunately none of them were North Bay Battalion players.

Three Troops were ranked by NHL Central Scouting heading into the draft.

Defenceman Brady Lyle was 48th, fellow blueliner Adam Thilander 96th and forward Justin Brazeau 206th.

Even though none were drafted at Saturday’s event in Chicago, Lyle has been invited to the Anaheim Ducks camp.
