Need for blood donations upgraded to critical

There’s an urgent need for blood donations and local residents can help out.

Canadian Blood Services says the need for blood has been upgraded to critical.

They say making a donation after the long weekend will help to ensure there’s an adequate supply of blood for those in need.

They have 70 openings for the North Bay Blood Donor Clinics coming up this week.

Sessions are taking place Tuesday and Wednesday at the Best Western on Lakeshore Drive.
