For the 2nd straight year someone who entered the “I Want It All” contest locally has received a grand prize at Food Basics in North Bay.

Last year, Linda Turcotte’s prize was a 50th wedding anniversary honeymoon vacation.

On Thursday, Jasmine Sampson received a trip of a lifetime.

She thought she was going to Food Basics on Cassells to win a $250 shopping spree and instead found out she was getting $4,500 to be put towards a trip.

She says she entered the contest by detailing what her dad has meant to her.

“Anytime I needed someone to cry with, or talk to, it would be my Dad that I would call all the time.  And it’s still to this day, 28 years later, I still would choose my Dad,” she says.

Jasmine says her mom was quite sick growing up and her dad worked hard for the family but also supported her and her brother at home too.

As for the trip, initially she said she was going to Las Vegas, but New Zealand is a good idea too.

“That would be my ultimate first place, would be New Zealand, I think it’s beautiful like Canada, lots of trees, zip-lining,” she says.
