A book created by five students at Parry Sound High School has won a national Me to We contest.

Mackenzie Elwes, Taylor Judge, Sara Burns, Dawson Bloor and Gracie Crafts wrote and illustrated Building Our Bridge: Our Journey of Reconciliation.

The book documents the history of cultural tensions at the school and the strides that have been made in efforts for students and teachers to become more inclusive of Indigenous students and to celebrate culture. They will receive their award next week in Ottawa.
