Media reports say that Jackie Young Director of Education with the Near North District School Board has applied for a position with the York region.

The reports say she is one of 5 candidates short listed for the position of director.

Board chair David Thompson wouldn’t comment other than to say she remains with the school board but he says they do encourage their employees to reach their goals but will also miss them if they choose to move on.
