A 33 year old city male is facing domestic assault and domestic assault causing bodily harm charges.

Police say yesterday morning a verbal argument ensued between a couple at a local restaurant.

The argument turned violent when the female was punched.

After being evicted from the restaurant, the victim followed the male despite attempts by the staff to prevent her.

Later, while outside the premises she was punched again and suffered non life threatening injuries.

She was taken to hospital via ambulance.

The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.

Also, a 29 year old city male is facing several charges including two assault counts, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of mischief under 5 Thousand Dollars.

Police say a male threw a pop can at his female partner in their residence on Tuesday.

The victim suffered non life threatening injuries.

Police also say the victim was assaulted previously and had her cell phone damaged following an argument.

The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
