This is the weekend the clocks change to daylight saving time.

That means the clocks move ahead 1 hour early on Sunday morning.

It’s also a reminder from fire departments to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

North Bay Fire Prevention Officer Sheri Korn says two thirds of all fire deaths occur in homes where there are no working smoke alarms.

Also, check the age of the alarms.

Korn says smoke alarms should be replaced every 10 years and carbon monoxide alarms every 7.
