North Bay Police have filed an attempted murder charge against a city man after receiving a disturbance call Saturday night.

Police say officers were dispatched to a downtown residence around 9:45 pm and found two men had been fighting.

They are known to each other.

Police say one man was stabbed several times with a kitchen knife, suffering serious injuries.

30 year old Todd MacKinnon is charged with attempted murder and breach.

The investigation continues.
